Going to School

So my school is about a two hour commute away with morning traffic(cars/humans... pick your poison) and since class starts at 9am, I like to wake up around 6am and get ready for the day. Here's a look at what my morning is like and exactly how I go to school. For the first few days, I would take the subway but there are seriously way too many people and they are super rude. Riding the subway in the morning is like going to a club and grinding with a bunch of random people. And it's not like you get to go in there and choose who you stand next to. This isn't a buffet... So a few days ago, I decided "enough is enough!", and now I take the bus. The subway is a little quicker but on the bus, I get to sleep sooo here is my school journey when taking the bus.

If you guys really want, one day I'll record what it's like to take the subway in the morning. But honestly, I'd rather not... :D

Catching Up

So I haven't uploaded a video in a while. The biggest reason is because I recently started school 2 1/2 weeks ago. So far, I'm adjusting well to the school life here and I've gotten pretty comfortable with my classmates except I still hardly have any social life. I'm a loser. The commute in the morning is two hours and the commute back is a little bit shorter because there's no traffic.. I've been waking up in the mornings at six am for school and it's been going pretty well so far. Okay that's enough, writing about me. Now here are some videos with plenty of me, haha. And Korea of course. Again, sorry for the long delay. Hope you guys enjoy.

These aren't very exciting but I'll try to entertain you guys somehow, soon enough!

Birth Place, Old Faces, Public Baths, and Birthdays

Over the weekend, I visited a very close friend of mine from back when I used to live in Missouri. Coincidentally, he lives in Jeonju which is where I was born. Our dads have known each other since 1984 and we've known each other since 1996. I haven't seen him since 2002 but we used plenty of this weekend to catch up on things. Hope you guys enjoy.

I Love Free Haircuts

I am still sort of sick but after four fulls days of being cooped up inside of my rim, sniffling, coughing, and using excessive amounts of tissues, I finally decided to step outside of the house and do something.

Boy Meets Basketball

Today, I checked out the gym... I hadn't gone out in the last 48 hours and haven't recorded anything during that time... What a blast. I realized it was now time to take action! Well, this video isn't much, but hope you enjoy it. Some of you might think that the music selection is a bit whack, but I thought I was being funny with the "Lose Yourself" jam but probably not... I'm not a funny guy... Speaking of funny guys... I'll get to that later. At the end of the video, I also brought up the thought of you guys giving me ideas on what to do in my next videos. (My friend Moonyoung came up with the idea, actually. And I thought it'd be kind of cool. Thanks pal.) But once again, let's try to keep the missions rated pg and not expensive. For example, don't challenge me to go to ever bakery in the city and buy a different kind of bread. That would be interesting but stupid... And I wouldn't have lunch money for the next month. Well, leave ideas, and thanks again for watching!

I realize I'm repeating words constantly in every video I do. I will try to fix that... I'm still not used to this whole "vlogging" business and doing it in public, in front of random people doesn't make it any easier. (Notice how I'm usually quieter when other people are around.) Alright, cool.

Visiting 고모 and Introducing the Newest Member of our Family

Today was a day to catch up a little with a part of my dad's side of the family. I got to meet my youngest niece for the first time. Her name is 승민? (Seungmeen) and she's two years old? and three in Korean age?... You'll see a good bit of her in the beginning. Like always, I started off the video with a terrible introduction and random talking. After lunch with the relatives, my cousin and I went to the express bus terminal where we planned on meeting my other cousin. The bus terminal doesn't really have much to do but it has a lot restaurants and some stores, as well as a giant book store. We walked around the entire place about three times until we finally met up with my other cousin (her sister). We grabbed dinner and decided to hang out a little and walk off the food we just ate. I say in the video that we're going to Sinchon but that's not where we went. They took me somewhere else and we just walked around and enjoyed the night time view. The last trip of the day was Red Mango where we had some delicious frozen yogurt. And that's about it. I know there isn't much in this video but walking and talking but I hope the music and transitions as well as the fast forwarding made it somewhat interesting. And the montage. I worked hard on it. Thanks for watching.

Day 4/5

So on my fourth day in Korea Saturday March 13, 2010 I didn't do much as I had to stay home in order to get my new phone. Since the day had hardly any action (if any), I decided to just mix it together with my "Day 5" video when we planned on going snowboarding. When we actually got to the indoor snowboarding place, "Tiger World" (Has nothing to do with Tiger Woods), we found out that the snowboarding area was closed until April for reconstruction. My uncle was so disappointed. He was really looking forward to it. I was pretty bummed out too. But, without the snowboarding action to film, I didn't have much else to show you guys because I opened up the entire day just to snowboard. I didn't bother adding any music into this video and hopefully I can make it much more interesting on my next video. Thanks for watching everyone.

In the last clip, you might notice me, constantly doing double takes on my laptop. I was streaming the Kansas basketball game. They wont the Big 12 Tournament!!! I'm sure none of you really care... Just clarifying why I was twitching.

More than half this video is of me talking about my new phone. I tried not to show it too descriptively so hope it doesn't make me seem too nerdy. Phone's sweet though. :D

Meeting with the Shins.

I'm sorry for posting this one a day late. Well then again, I don't even know how time works because most of you guys that watch this are in America and the time zones are all different. A visit to 신촌 (Sinchon)

So I recorded a little more than last time but i didn't really get too much of the action. On my first post, I just had three recorded videos so I was lazy and just put them all up individually. This time, despite being super tired when getting home, I managed to mold all the videos into one mini movie. I didn't do much editing and just threw in some music and transitions so don't expect anything exciting. I'm going to try to do this as often as I can and honestly, I need to get more creative and talk about more interesting topics so i don't mind some suggestions to what I could do on my next one. Thank you guys for your support and hopefully I will get better at this vlog business. Once again, this vlog is for my family and friends but everyone else in the world is more than welcome to check it out so if you want, you can share this with your friends.
